The city is grey today. The people too.
I can't exactly put my finger on why everything is so bland today. My mood, the weather, my conversations, other people. All desaturated. Coffee with my best friend felt like an akward first date, minus any sexual innuendos and the excitement of meeting someone new. Scratch all that and just leave the akward silences and the feeling that this person sitting opposite you is so far away today and growing further. Relish this now for what it is, tomorrow she may be even further away, and you'll be all the more helpless to do anything about it.
Yes. I am down today. For no reason in particular. There's a sticky film between the world and my perception thereof that rids the joys of life. I so want to do something anything but I cannot think of one single thing that I actually can or want to do.
So instead, I make my work-I-should-have-done-on-Wednesday stretch a little bit longer until tonight. Now at least I'm doing something I suppose.
