contradiction

V-day = awesome. We went to dinner, went to XS Orlando and tore it up on the video game floor (I am such a badass at Soul Caliber II). Then we went and caught 2 movies. This was the Sat before, because we still had to work on the actual day. Then the next weekend, we went to the philharmonic. They played 2 pieces I used to play, and damned if I didn't get all nostalgic. I really miss it.

I am thinking however that I really need to get out with other people every once in a while. I think that my guy needs more time to himself, and I am a lot more social than he. Now that I have a little bit of breathing room financially, I really need to just get out and do something.

Sunday night I went to a show that HFL did at the Social. It went fantastic, they sounded killer and had a pit going. The vocalist, who is a good friend, pulled me up on stage spontaneously to do my backing vox on a song, and ended up handing over the mic at one point so I just went to town. I have pics - will make a folder and let you guys see.

I am planning the most killer trip for my guy's bday. He is going to love it, and so am I. I am going to take him to Coral Castle in Miami, and get us a hotel and such. He really wants to see it, so I figure it is perfect. I also have to figure out something else to add to it. I tend to overdo it with people I really like.

My thought for the day: My life fucking rocks.
