SNOW DAY!

I remember how much I used to look forward to snow (and as a skiier, I still love it in the mountains) but so many people are having such a hard time in this weather. For those of you not in Seattle, you may not know how bad 1 inch of snow is here! Since I lived in Eastern Washington for years, I have not problem with driving in snow and ice. But, in Seattle, it means people park on the freeway and walk away from their cars! One of my co-workers took 5 hours to drive home from work last night. It usually takes 20-30 minutes. Thankfully, the schools are closed today. The library will open as normal. Oh well!!

The sun is shinning, it makes me wish that I could play outside. I remember as a kid, we used to go sledding. It was so much fun, and mom would make chili and hot cocoa. Ahhhh! Comfort food! Maybe that is part of what I love about going skiing!

In other news, I got a promotion (for the next 6 months)! I get to be a library branch manager. It is really cool to work with so many great people! I know I sound so cheery. Sorry. I'll be sure to blog when I am feeling fucked up too! biggrin

Ya know, I absolutely love how you say so much in so few words. It's a gift. I know you're praying for me and it means the world to me. I can never be on too many prayer chains, as far as I'm concerned. I don't currently have a home parish so it's strange to be going thru something so major and not have that support system under me. But then I remember it's really a support system of ONE, isn't it, and that support is always there for me no matter what.

perspective.

Thanks again kiss

It's sporadially sunny here. The thermometer says it's 65 degrees but the breeze makes it a little chilly. I actually had rehearsal today so it was DEFINITELY time for dark glasses (and about 1000 mg of ibuprofen!) My rehearsals are under a bridge (literally!) on the waterfront so we had a lovely, up close & personal view of all the blooming cherry trees. So beautiful! smile

Have a good week, J. Talk to you later!
kiss
