It's widduw wike me. aaww...
So something totally exciting happened today. I got a new car! If you knew the character of the Daewoo at all, you will realize what this means: no more death trap! Hoorays!
I am now the owner of a 2006 Chevy Aveo. The sedan, not the liftback. The only things I would change about it would be this: I have no power windows or locks. That should be a standard feature by now. There is only a radio...no tape deck. I'd say there's no CD player, but it's the cassette player that I require for use of my iPod while driving. I do have some weird thing that hooks my iPod into the cigarette lighter and plays it through the radio, though. It's weird, but it works well enough, I suppose. And the final thing I would change? The colour.
I originally wanted a dark grey car, but when I looked at the colour chart for the Aveo, there was this fantastic seafoamy green. It was lovely, and I had to have my car that colour. But as [my] luck would have it, the only colour they had was the same colour as the Daewoo. Guh. Oh well. Maybe someday I can get a paint job done.
But the colour probably isn't actually as important as I think it is. It doesn't really feel like a new car when it's the same colour as my previous one, but the fact is I got a new car. A car that starts with zero trouble. A car that I can drive without fear of it killing me. A car we can get parts for without having to pay double for them because they need to be special-ordered because the manufacturer went bankrupt or whatever.
So that's pretty much it. Oh! We went to Target after getting my car, because I needed some spiral notebooks for my classes (term starts on Monday), but I got a couple pairs of shoes, too. LOL. I got a cute pair of black peep-toes, and a black pair of the brown high heels I already have. I feel so girly buying high heels. I think later I will go back to Target to buy clothes. It looks like they have some cute stuff in right now.
Okay, so that's it. For real this time.

Congratulations on the new car. I love that new car smell. Mothers can be a pain in the ass. Mine is not to bad, but my mother in law is just like your mother. Good luck at school.
