Well, at the rate I am losing people on my friends list.multiplied by the instances of random stupidity and banality I endure while on this siteone assumption can be deduced. It is time to move on..let the kids have their AFI and ill informed half assed social theories and head for the underground. It is a sad day indeed, when no one knows what you...

A little TELEVISION demos from the 70's...a little rich, Jewish kid snobbery filtered through the eyes of Che and Monks lighting themselves on fire......Seems that Martha and Kerry pose little interest to what is inside my head...

The approach of a mans life out of the past is history, and the approach of time out of the future is mystery. Their meeting is the present, and it is consciousness, the only time life is alive. The endless wonder of this meeting is what causes the mind, in its inward liberty of a frozen morning, to turn back and question and remember. The...

I'm not reading much this week (besides George Jones's catalog of alcohol/ coke abuse) so I'm unable to rejoin with any high-density verse. This is on repeat in my mind today:

For the dreams of the weed king, we all sing

I'm very into the GbV box-set right now

"You fight your superficiality, your shallowness, so as to try to come at people without unreal expectations, without an overload of bias or hope or arrogance, as untanklike as you can be, sans cannon and machine guns and steel plating half a foot thick; you come at them unmenacingly on your own ten toes instead instead of tearing up the turf with your catepilar treads,...

And a big philly 'yo' to you as well. Great journal post you've got there. Ill have to keep that one in mind, seriously.

Being a Dever-ite, have you ever checked out the 'Modern Drunkard' magazine? I picked up a copy at the Standard Tap last month. Its based in Colorado, so all of the adds deal with bars.club, ongoings in that area. Damn funny writings that go on about drinking. Great stuff, I say.

Also, if you havent seen it already, check out Nick Cave's DVD 'God is in the House'. It came out before X-mas....its a fully lenghth recording of one of his tour dates last year. Its dead on to his NYC performance last summer...brilliant DVD.

It is funny how the sunshine drives the people into the streets
Abandoned stoops bloom with human flowers
The feral cats sun themselves on the ruins and boys play
At being warriors-

It seems we have missed the typical East Coast winter blast this year...awoke to the sound of birds whispering atop our bamboo garden nestled in the concrete and asphalt jungle...the cool air of almost Spring brushed our cheeks as the sounds of the city awakening on Saturday morning permeated the early hour mix...quiet serenity in our peaceful love affair...good day wishes for y'all...

I wouldn't count us down here out of winter until, say, May... but today was soemthing else... a non-jacketed stroll through Leesylvania Park as two trains passed on the bridge... shoreline clear waters and tan sand, miraculously free of plastic garbage flotsam. Maybe even the polluters took the day off?
