Turns out the woman who went nuts on me at work on Tuesday had been up all night having nightmares about amputations. You see, her ex-husband is on his deathbed and got gangrene in one of his legs, resulting in having it sawed off. So the image of this rather unpleasant situation made such an impression on her that she dreamt about it all night. Can't blame her for being a bit, shall we say, EDGY!

I need some creative ideas for the Wedding program that for my ceremony. Any suggestions?

Hmm, yes, I can see where that would leave someone in a less than perfect state of mind. While not a fear I hold constantly, becoming an amputee is one of those occasional thoughts that gives me the wiggins. To have someone close to me go through it? I shudder to think.

Not really familiar with Kirby's work. I haven't been all that impressed with the golden age era comics (he was golden age, right?) that I've seen, so I haven't really tried to track anything he's done down. Perhaps I should rectify that someday.

I hope I don't sound insensitive by saying this... that woman probably feels terrible for her outburst, no matter how valid her feelings.... she will probably feel better after her ex passes.... because she won't have to worry about it anymore, and she'll know he's not in pain any longer....I've been thinking about her the past couple of days, actually and wishing her well....
what the heck is a "program'? is that the thing on paper that they hand out right before you're seated in the church?
