You know what I did today? I was a post-post-modern alchemist. I turned horrendous client direction into "doesn't suck." Apparently the client (the name in Name Agency) is hands-off on *every* project except the website (my deal). I don't know what it is about websites that make people who dont have good ideas think that they should be in the mix. This client doesnt do this to his video/multimedia guys. So WTF?
My buddy Angie thinks that people think my job is more fun than theirs is.
My companion theory is that websites are the lowest common denominator for executive micromanagement; that the intersection between familiar, interface and aesthetic creates a probability wave that skews behavior toward the inept; a psychic gravity-well that makes my project the low point toward which bad ideas naturally flow.
p.s. I downloaded Bjork's Vespertine and Medulla from iTunes. We likeses, precious, we likeses. Right now, the song Its Not Up To You from Vespertine is my joint.
Holla atcha boy . . .
