This is at the local Arboretum. People are really pissed off. I think it's kind of a weird place to put this statue, but I'm not offended by it.

It's art. Art is supposed to rile people up and get us talking. If it was in a gallery somewhere instead of on a public path we wouldn't have ever heard of it, or the issues it raises. Personally, I was more bothered by her lack of a head more than anything else.

Interesting statue, perhaps odd location, maybe a statement on how many tend to view a person as unconnected parts rather than as a whole person? Only her neck but not her head.... Her feet, ankles and (possibly) part of her shins are not formed out of the base....
