Today sucked! One of my rats, Crazy Lu, had been chewing a hole in the base of her cage and she managed to get out. I woke up to her screaming, when i came into the living room i found one of my cats holding her in her mouth. I smacked the cat and she dropped Lu. Crazy Lu had 3 cuts, 2 on her head and one on her arm. I took her to the vet today, they put her under the gas and flushed out her cuts. I had to be at work so my boyfriend went to pick her up, they sent him home with meds for her but said that they couldn't promise that she'd make it. 3 hours and $200 later she died. so sad. Now i dont know what to do about Gaia.(my other rat) She's going to be so lonely. I can't afford to go out to colorado and get another dwarf rat to keep her company. I could always go get a regular rat, but it's going to get so much bigger then Gaia. I dont know if she'd be scared of it or what. Part of me thinks i should just let her be solo and give her lots of extra attention. to make things worse my boyfriend is acting like a 5 year old about all this, he's been crying all day. I came home from work to find him sitting in the dark wearing a hoodie with the hood up. seriously!? I worked all day and then came home to a pity party. this sucks, now we're fighting because i told him he needs to be stronger about this. Of course he took that wrong and instead of talking about it he went right to bed. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! i'm so overwhelmed, sad, and annoyed right now. I'm going to down a few more glasses of wine and hit the sack. goodnight.
