you should be able to gather that japanese reads down and left from the top-right.
the thing is, i can't read japanese, though it's an ambition i have (or mandarin, or both - hA!)... the characters mean different things and can be manipulated according to context.
the translation that's worked up between a person i play with online with some stuff i adjusted:

i should not have learnt words.
