Not only did I spend a kickass week lazing around my apartment, but in a few short minutes I'll begin making my way to downtown Minneapolis and the Eels listening party. This fucking record's going to be all I listen to this month...at least until next Tuesday when NIN's new record comes out. I might listen to that once or twice.
But what a fucking weekend. It was like the best summer of my life, two+ years ago--a lot of movie watching, a lot of pot smoked--only without having to go outside for cigarette breaks and not being stuck in someone or others' parents' basement (like Mike's basement-remember that shithole, James?). The new couch I got on Friday really ties the place together, too. Very homey-feeling now....AND my uncle brought over the old stereo he's giving me on Sunday (the man's kinda lame, as any 50-something would have to be, but he's an audiophile in the extreme sense and has a kickass newer system...thus my inheritance of the old one); giant speakers, hello. Plus, I've gone vinyl. I get to be an extra-snobby music geek now. w00t! (Yes, James, I said it).
Enough of that. I have a kickass evening to get to.

Are you enjoying the vinyl? I used to have a lot and liked them but also had my fair share of scratched/poor sounding lps which was a pain.
