You town is pretty crazy, by the way - your town meaning Portland, the birthplace, I mean - but it's definitely sweet. The gorge area rocks, the bars are pretty hip (hipper than Anchorage but not quite New Orleans), and new friends of mine have little concerts and art shows all over the sidewalks all the time. Plus I don't think I've EVER visited an American city that had so few churches in it...

So if anyone ever gets the sudden and bizarre compulsion to visit the northern Adirondacks, St. Lawrence University and shit, lemme know because I'll be busy going smalltown-style stir crazy in the motel...!
