Vermont: the place located just north of Massachusetts and just east of New York, and which exists so that harsh bastards from those two places have somewhere they can go and act their worst with impunity. I've been living here for two months, now, bartending at Mt. Snow, and for two months I've been learning - the hard way - why, seven years ago, I...

August 24th, 2005, I have finally re-enlisted in SG after years of absense. (Absinthe? That too.) I've found the ultimate love of my life, and it's the Southwest, specifically the Colorado Plateau and all the crazy dangerous beautiful shit it has to offer. Viva la Canyone Grande! I'm living there now, by the way, and I've never had a better backyard nor a more fun...

Yay, finally, I was able to upload some pictures tonight!

The fact that you conquered Mt. Marcy implies no end of respect from me! Mt. Ampersand was a feat for me, and that's just a fraction of Marcy. :p (Of course, it was me and a few other computer geeks, and we called it the Hike by Reference, which was no end of hilarity for us.)

Anyway, I've spent the last two years up here in the frozen tundra of the northcountry and have thus far comletely failed to meet any really interesting people. If there's one thing I can say is horrible about this school, it's the complete lack of anyone outside "norm." blackeyed But I guess I don't get off-campus much.

I'm going completely fucking goofballs.

Is anyone else a fan of The Shining?

Yeah, well, I didn't ever think it would actually HAPPEN to me, but that was before moving into a motel in the Adirondacks. It's so boring, and the weather is so grey, and there are beautiful mountains in the near distance but I can't go play in them because I'm the only...

If anyone failed to notice this, the recent bombings in Israel and Baghdad completely blasted (no pun intended) coverage of the Kobe Bryant rape case out of the water. Three cheers to that: every once in a while the American public needs SOME sort of reminder that there are things in this world far more worthy of our attention than the actions of celebrities and...

You town is pretty crazy, by the way - your town meaning Portland, the birthplace, I mean - but it's definitely sweet. The gorge area rocks, the bars are pretty hip (hipper than Anchorage but not quite New Orleans), and new friends of mine have little concerts and art shows all over the sidewalks all the time. Plus I don't think I've EVER visited an...

Back from Alaska, complete with blonded hair, a new hole, and more ink. Three cheers for the last frontier! Now I'm operating my friend's motel just north of the Adirondacks in upstate NY, whole house to play in but no one to play with (just yet). All work and no play... You know the rest tongue

I didn't know they had piercing and tattoo places in Alaska...well I've never been there so I guess I shouldn't assume anything.

I also didn't know Alaska was the final frontier....does that mean you've been to Uranus? how was it?

I'd rather like to join Tori's harem, too.

Desert-rat life was a blast (although Mexico offers WAAAAAY too many temptations for a reckless pup like me) and coming back to New Orleans for Jazz Fest was worth every cent, but now it's time to head back into the maelstrom - this time Denali, Alaska. Thanks for the comments, few though they are, and keep up the beautiful work; hopefully I'll be able to...

Jesus, that picture of me is all squished and distorted. Damned cheap scanners...

Colorado isn't working out, so I'm off to the Big Bend desert region that separates Texas from Mexico, probably head back home (New Orleans) for Mardi Gras, and I've got a great old friend who just moved to Portland so I'll eventually make my way out there.

Any travellers run across my...

Right now I am crashed at my friend's motel in upstate NY, basically lazing around and occasionally helping with business, but ere long I'll be off to CO to spend my winter working at a ski resort in Steamboat, where they may or may not provide me with Internet access. Having said that: membership with y'all cats may be a short ride, after all, but...
