I am trying to read T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land. Does anyone have any advice for me, because I am having a difficlut time. I can read the words, but I am sure that I am missing something and I am not sure what it is. Maybe just because I have not read enough to help me understand his references. It seems that he has a lot or references to other works that I have not read or have but was to long ago to remember.

I also just finished reading Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde for the second time. Seems that book just sucks me in everytime. His story seems to fit mine, where on the outside everything looks pretty, but inside it is not.

Any thoughts???

The first picture is a wooden church in Slovakia. I love things made of wood; and I love grass and meadows and trees; so the picture just makes me go all dreamy.

The plant is called sainfoin, which comes from old French words (or was it Latin? confused ) which mean 'healthy hay', because it's an excellent fodder plant for cows. It doesn't grow naturally in Scotland, sadly - not quite warm enough; it grows in England well enough. In biodynamic agriculture it's believed the plant's presence on a farm has a kind of homeopathic effect on the soil of the whole farm and helps crops grow.
