Had a wonderful second read with the cast. The character work we did this week was absolutely successful. However, I'm glad we're done for the week as I am a little tired and burnt out on the play. No doubt a day off (from the play) will crisp me back up. It had better, since I'll be reviewing my blocking on Saturday, prepping the stage...

Rehearsal night 2! We still aren't in the theater so I had them do Meisner-inspired repetition exercises both in- and out- of character with some character discussion thrown in. So, I contacted a friend who homeschools her kids and asked after resources. We're...

Tonight, I wasn't going to do any theater business. Instead, I had a fight with my ex- about my son and picked him up day earlier, then balanced my checkbook. Then, since I had a headache anyway, I did theater business.

I had previously asked my son to name the dog breed that my actor playing Sylvia most resembles. He picked English Springer Spaniel (above)
