I find myself less and less actively disliking people, and more and more just feeling sorry for them. So much of people acting like assholes is active overcompensation for some fault they perceive in themselves. A little bit more self-assurance and they probably wouldn't even bother.
As my grandmother says, I'm sitting up and taking nourishment. Still a bit coughy, but very much behind the newswire.

It's funny how sometimes we believe that everybody's actions are in direct reaction to ours. We trip, it's because someone looked at us funny. It's called a fundamental attribution error. People do it all the time.
