My birthday is next Tuesday! So far, the plans are to have dinner with my sister, her fiance, and my old man the Monday before at my fave restaurant, Pamplona. I'll actually be working on the Tuesday, but that means that I have no house fees or tip outs. I get to keep all of the money I make! Last year it was over $700. Nice, right? The plans sort of take a short breather after that, because I have a wedding rehearsal dinner on the Thursday and then the wedding itself on Friday. It's in Cecilia, so we'll be staying in some sort of motel overnight. I don't mind so long as there's an open bar.

The birthday celebration will pick up some several days after on the weekend of the 27th. My ENTIRE family (i.e. Mom and Dad, both sisters with their respective fiances/husbands and my old man) will be taking over New Orleans for the day. We'll shop for most of the early afternoon after a short lunch, then my dad is treating all of us to dinner (haven't decided where yet). After that, its back to the hotel to get ready for the SG Party at The Dragon's Den. No, my parents are NOT going. My twin sister and her fiance will probably be there for a bit, but I don't know if they'll stay for my special appearance.

This is shaping up to be a very full and exciting month! Don't worry, I'll post some pictures of all the events. For now, here's a picture of the very first gift I received.

I know the puppy is cute, but the hammock makes him so comfy.
