So I had a little adventure yesterday...
I chatted with this girl on a dating site a couple times and she seemed nice enough and interested in hanging out.
I haven't gone out in a while, so I thought what the hell, the worst thing that'll happen is I'll get out of the apartment and maybe make a new friend.
We make plans to have lunch. She lives 100 miles away. So yeah, i drive there. Witness a brush fire about 20 feet off the side of the highway on the way there. The fire trucks were just arriving when i drove by. I don't know how they do it. I was in my car and I could barely stand the heat from the flames. Firefighters are studs.
I get there 9 minutes late and she's no where to be seen. I don't have her number because she's "lost" her phone. I wait for another 20 minutes and she doesn't show. I have lunch at Sonic, which is a treat because there's not a Sonic within 60 miles of LA. So the day was not a complete loss!

wow you drove 100 miles to meet someone from a dating site? that's impressive. sucks that she didn't show. I met my current boy-thing from a dating site and it's worked out remarkably well.
