Home from work and damn am I tired. I must've made about 200 Mojitos. Every time I start muddling mint into a glass I fantasize about working in a bar where people order a PBR and a shot of Jameson, tip well, and i don't have to throw anyone out on their ass for acting a fool.

The SGSF open call is tomorrow at Thee...

So the bar I work at (330 Ritch St.) has become a hotbed of counterfeit bill passing. Last night I caught this dip trying to pass a fake hundred off on me. I immediately new something was up by the waxy laser print feel that so many fakes have. I held it up to the light, and sure enough, there is no strip and no...

the best thing about taking a night class is all of the people who attend. Most of them are older, and looking for something extra to fullfill their bleak existence. This particular class is creative writing: Autobiography. And to be honest, I expected to see a wilder looking group. For some reason I kind of imagined a bunch of burnt out tenderloin residents trying to...

First day of the Spring semester has ended and my books cost around $450. I could've done without some of them but if i don't keep a 4.0 it is likely I will receive no financial aid in the future. C's might get degrees, but A's help you escape a life of drudgery.

My hands have started to hurt lately. Aside from the half dozen...

I was reading you app for sgmc today when I saw that you started out riding a dream. That was the same bike that i started on. I used to drive that thing in madison, wi and at every light people would be checking it out. I got props from many of the harley guys cuz the bike was in such sweet shape. Black with blinding chrome, it was fun as shit. The only thing that i didn't like was that it was so small. I looked like a bear on a tricycle at the circus when i rode it. Ended up trading it for an upright bass a couple of years ago.

Work work work. Fuck yeah. I live for this shit. 50 hours of bartending? Three doubles a week? School full time? Yeah give it to me.....

Now....Keep saving money to invest in a bar. Or blow it all on a motorycle? That stack of cash is burning a whole right through my Levi's pockets.

So this morning my Vespa started up first kick and I headed off to work and was only running a few minutes late when all of a sudden a new mini cooper pulled up next to me.
The girl inside was honking her horn and waving at me. I was thinking " man she digs me, I'm so cool on this scooter, maybe I shouldn't...

My tickets to New Orleans are booked. I'm going by myself and hopefully it will be a relaxing trip. The family can be a little nuts. Especially now that my mom is hangig out with all these college age booze hounds.

Since I missed out on the '72 R75/5 I was going to buy, I've started turning my attention to new bikes again. The only thing that really raises any interest in my price range is either the Thruxton 900, or a used Yamaha R1.

In other news, my GF is still in Los Angeles. I miss her terribly. I do not miss her puppy at...

Forgot to mention that some other owners report getting a nice sound from drilling throught the stock baffles. That'd be a cheap quick route to nice sound. Yeowch, an R1? I'd kill myself on that. I've got to have a reasonably sane top speed on my bikes. I've had the thrux up to 115 closing in on 120, there's maybe 500 rpm left before redline.

The eight hour shift I work at my gay bar job is grueling. Especially after six hours of waiting tables during the day. I keep thinking of my three year plan to own a bar and it makes it almost worthwhile.

Now if only I can avoid pissing my savings away on a new motorcycle......
wheezy_e:
Howdy! I absolutely love my D&D pipes. They're straight--through glasspacks & are pretty loud, but not as loud as some Harleys. The sound isn't like anything else really. There's a soundclip with video of somebody else's thrux with D&D's at trriumphrat.net. I'll see if I can find you a link., I'll be back.
wheezy_e:
This isn't the video I was looking for, but here's a quick one of the thrux running on a dyno with the D&D's. Enjoy! -Oh, if you poke around triumphrat.net you can find it I'm sure. It was posted when all the thrux stuff was in the bonneville forums, so that's where it aught to be. Try "D&D / stock sound comarison" or something like that. It was a long video with the bike on the street & whatnot. Also had it running with no pipes. You'll love it.

Things were going smashingly today. I walked all over the city, visiting motorcycle shops searching for what will be my next bike. I'm just about over the sport bike obsession. I've always owned older bikes. I don't see any reason to change now.

Got myself a burrito from Taqueria Cancun and ended up having about five cups of coffee. Even work was pretty decent. Of...

Welcome to SGMC! C'mon in, write an intro to the gang in New Members, and put the Vespa in the Pix section.

I know it's not the same, but check out the new Thruxton. We've go several members on new Triumphs who love them. My Moto Guzzi dealer also has the Triumph franchise. When I dropped in today, he'd just gotten a brand new block for a brand new 2000cc Rocket III. There was a cosmeic blemish in the original engine when he uncrated it, so Triumph sent a new block under warranty. That's what I call standing behind your product!

Skipped out on the show I was supposed to got to tonight. It was this band called Maktub. I'm not really a fan of their music but I was in their first video. Lately I've just wanted to stay inside and read. School starts soon and then I'll hardly have any time to read for pleasure.
I'm trying to finish up a few books now....
