There is this really cool cactus outside my house that blooms these lovely white flowers! When I first bought the house in October, they would open up at night sometimes and last throughout the day before they finally withered away for the winter.
Now it is spring! & They have blossomed once again.. but only once to greet me and pose for a picture. Since they have become fried and haven’t opened up at all ): I suppose it is too toasty for them.. but you’d think they’d be able to last? I’m confused and I want to know more about this cactus!!
Silly how they’d bloom just once then be gone until the fall... but maybe that’s what they do? I’m curious to find out. It’s sad to see the little buds fallen and all burnt up ;/ They’ll be back again though! 🌵
Desert wildlife is so interesting to me.. I’m so used to things being pretty basic back home in Chicago. Sad in the fall, dead in the winter, blooms in the spring and happy for summer lol. Here it’s like.. everything has its own thing goin on I haven’t quite caught on to yet hehe. I love it 💚
