Was supposed to have an overnight flight from Phoenix to Chicago last night, which got delayed by an hour. Then adjusted a second time... apparently they switched the gates amongst all that bullshit and I was waiting at the wrong one! Ended up missing it by five minutes ): There was no announcements so I had no idea and the boarding pass I had on my phone was flipping wrong! Bastards.
Super stressful, wanted to cry haha. Been a long week and this didn’t help! My luggage was already on the flight so hoping it’s waiitng safely for me in a Chicago.
Luckily the lady found me a flight today but it’s not a direct flight by any freakin means because it’s going to Seattle first. So my whole airport/flight experience today is like 12 fuckin hours lmao. Between security, boarding, air time.. ugh. First flight boarded at 8am and I’m not landing in Chicago until around 6pm.
I downloaded some movies to my Netflix though and watched Pulp Fiction, a personal favorite, for the first flight. And might watch ‘Zodiac’ on the second flight to Chicago. Which I started watching a week or so ago but missed a few important pieces and didn’t get to finish. Was off to a good start though and I’m a fan of Jake Gyllenhaal for sure hehe.
Missed a day in Chicago but that’s alright, my dad is picking me up from the airport and taking me to Pepe’s Tacos upon request cus they don’t have those in Arizona and it’s been my favorite place since I was a kid! We’re spending the night together then tomorrow heading to The Rolling Stones concert which should be a great fucking show! Was cancelled and we almost missed it but they just called it back on threeish weeks ago, thankfully!
My nephew also graduated eighth grade and my niece graduated kindergarten so they’re having a party to celebrate so I’m glad I can be there and see the rest of my family too! I think it’s cool they’re siblings and graduating the same year, it was the same scenario with their mother (my older sister) and another one of our sisters. They graduated eighth and kindergarten the same year too! Funny little coincidence.
My other sister (I have three lol) just had her first baby with her new husband so I’m so excited to meet my new niece too! Lots of family bonding going on this weekend it should be really nice I don’t get to go back often!
Supposed to be rainy as shit though so just trying to make it through the rain, hopefully not too much humidity, see the fam, get my White Castle and come back to the fuckin sun!!! ☀️💚✨
