If you hadn't noticed I've not been around much this week... am busy busy busy. I was recording for 5 hours straight (no breaks whatsoever) on Sunday. Hell of a day.
Monday I was working all day.
Yesterday we had rehearsal late at night.
Tomorrow we have a really important gig.
I'm very tired.
Tonight I baked cookies... who wants one? They're oatmeal + chocolate chip. Yum!
But something more interesting happened today, also:
I went shopping this morning for a white T-Shirt. A plain white, normal T-Shirt. One that would fit one of my guitarists to print a slogan on for tomorrow. A plain white T-Shirt.
On heading into town on this beautiful Sunny morn, (it really was sunny for a change!!), I was thinking how it's going to be very very difficult to find a T-Shirt for very little money.
Upon stumbling round the shops like the little outcast I am (I fucking hate shops), I began to realise something - It's almost 99.9% impossible to find ANYTHING without some sort of branding on it nowadays.
Everything is 'designer' or 'label-ware'. I really really detest it. Even in the cheapo shops there were cheapo knock-offs of branded-labelled-destroyed T-Shirts.
All I wanted was one plain white T-Shirt.
I visited 5 cheapo shops and all the big expensive department stores. And guess what?
Not one PLAIN white T-Shirt in sight. What a pisser.
I tell you this country has fallen in it's worst times.
I live where people don't think for more than a millisecond a day.
All they want is their labels and their expensive designer coffee. Or their cheapo knock-offs and their cheapo cigarettes.
::sigh::
Wish me luck for tomorrow
