Rough morning. Happy birthday to me I suppose. 35 Is a bit of a milestone at least advertising demographic wise though I already got my first AARP solicitation a few years ago.
So, last night we went over to Peoria and saw Lisa Lampenelli. Fucking sweet. P-town is a little rough and pretty conservative so I was a little apprehensive about how she would be received. It was sweet. Heavy drinkers for a sunday night crowd and it was in a theater style place instead of a bar and people were constantly getting up to go to the bar which was an ordeal and a distraction so she had a lot of fun screwing with those people. I didn't leave at all as I was well lubed since we had been drinking since three and I had made special brownies for the occasion. We went with a couple that we have known separately for a while a but that have just become a couple recently (he's 25 she's 50 but it seems to be going well for both of them) and so that was new hanging out with them not just at the house. We got a great hotel cheap with her employee discount and we were by the gambling boat so we hit the buffet before we went over the river. It was a typical Illinois casino buffet, nothing special, but mine was free because this old lady in front of us in line dropped her water bottle and when we got it for her and started talking to her she had a buy one get one coupon but she was by herself so she got my dinner for free which was serendipitous. After the show we continued to carouse until we saw that they had a Perkins right down the road and the wife had to have drunken Perkins. If you have never been to a Perkins it is just like Denny's only they bring you coffee by the pot instead of by the cup. It is a favorite spot of the wife. Any way I am off to nap
