So I noticed this interesting environmental article in last week's Willamette Week. To summarize:
"A March 2005 study by the Environmental Protection Agency shows most scooters on the road pollute more than SUVs."
Don't trust Bush The Second's EPA? Fair enough... so the WW did their own studies on 3 scooters and an SUV, measuring hydrocarbons (which lead to ground-level ozone, a health hazard)...

While I like leaving up band's lyrics as a Journal forever... well, actually, I don't like that. I mean, that LCD Soundsystem song is funn, as are quite a few on their album (songs that slavishly imitate disco, The Fall, and Brian Eno, anyone??), but I wanted to say-

I was at Noir for a little bit last week, but I'm not sure when I will be heading back. I know I am heading to Dante's Sinferno tonight!
As for football, I'll let you know what is up. I sometimes like to spend a lazy Sunday morning at a sports bar like the Kingston on W. Burnside watching ball and having some pork products washed down with eggs and bloody marys.

Maybe SG is smarter than me.
I rarely post my own lyrics and I'm sure I've never posted unfinished ones. But a few lines came into my head and I didn't have a note pad handy, so I wrote in Word. Then decided "what the hell" and posted what I had. I've no clue where the song is headed.

I'm really hoping I can get back to the Jardin Botanique in Montreal this fall, they had the most incredible gesneriad collection I've ever seen. Of course the rest will be dormant again, but I can't seem to quite time my trips right for that.

but can you do the Michael Stipe dance?
Hmmm, a week of long work hours n great socializing... I really didn't think I'd find any use for these stupid "About Me" boxes (viewed above), but I think I do have a relevant point for mine for the near-future (except *this Tuesday, I'm off to see Ween with mikael and Les). Job is going okay for me; just worrying that the getting-up-hellaearly thing...

Getting up early is tough, especially when drinking is involved.
It was Automatic's birthday last night and after some drinks at The Triple Nickel I was definitely game to try the new experience (for me) of Devil's Point. Well, it was pretty damned fun.... I don't really see it as sexual, not to me anyway, but it was a fun hangout, no cover, some cool stage moves. They played lots of good punk rock...

Ok, I do miss you more than for just your excellent salsa selecting skills. I love intellectually driven conversations. I think I learned more from you about the Lewis and Clark expedition than I would have in any written text. Smart is good.
Football season is approaching and I'm a little worried. We have a spare bedroom, can you come over and visit Relevantswitch on football Sundays? Peas and Carrots??!?!?!

I was gonna say others haven't been very active on here... but I think others have been blogging more than me. I've been busy startin at new job. 4 days, long hours on Mon and Tues, and lil stressful since I'm starting out... I'll see how it goes.

I've been wondering the same about Ali-G. It's certainly strange.
You got the right phone number by the way.
I think my address may have changed since you last wrote me. I'll have to email you the new one.
Good luck on the new job. Is it with books as well?

"the anti Horatio Sanz face" Oh my god I love you. But I still love it when he loses it.
I haven't really figured out where I fit in here, or if I like it, but somehow I keep coming back to see how this handful of interesting folks is doing...
Keep me in the revised edition! Pretty please!

Me Birthday on friday. U in for festivities?
I had a great 4th, actually. hypnogogic and ladybelmont put on funn parties, especially when things start shooting sparks and blowing up. Got to bottle-feed Possum Pete the kitten, too. Try runnin into the john for a quick leak when you have 3 mewing two-week-old kitties in there giving you their full guilt-trip, and it makes for some long bathroom trips.
Also, London and pdxMatt...
