I saw The Covenant today. I thought it was pretty good. I saw Idlewild on Monday, I liked it as well.

WHY did we go to Afghanistan? I was so happy we didn't go to Iraq, but it's still sad that Canadians are dying in the WoT. For the second time I'm aware of during their time out there, a group of Canadians engaged in a maneuver were shot on and killed by American jets. *sigh*

oh and it was a Polk Award. They are very prestigious!

haha yeah. that reminds me, I guess Al Franken has a documentary out about the whole deal he had writing and releasing "Lies, and The Lying Liars Who Tell Them." They used to broadcast part of his radio show on The Sundance Channel, man I miss that. I don't really have the time to listen to his entire show on the radio, so i liked the hour long versions they would show. I've got the second cd he released for that show, and there's even a segment titled "Bill O'Reilly's Tales of Combat." Complete with A-Team theme music. Cracks me up every time.

I saw a movie over the weekend too: Barnyard. I wouldn't recommend it, unless you have a 6 and 4 year old in tow.

Yes, I'm missing a certain banker right now. But I am happy for him as this trip is badly needed for him and I wish he could stay for a bit more. I will get my time with him, I'm just feeling sorry for myself.
