I watched a bit of the Justine Henin-Hardenne/ Maria Sharapova tennis match last night. Maria won the first set, but wow was she terrible in the second. Worst Drop Shots Ever. Deplorable unforced errors. She looked really worn out too, all sweatin' while Justine didn't even look fazed. It occurred to me that Maria's sweaty shoulders looked really really yummy, and it might be really...

oh yeah, his sideburns are totally hot! Hot hot. We were watching Brokeback Mountain, and when Jack (Jake Gyllenhall) had sideburns (have you seen it, well there is some progression from the 60's to the 70's) well when hansel saw the sideburns he leaned over and said "ooh sideburns" and I said "but they are not near as cool as yours"

Starting to get a bit edgy, sitting around the house, missing SG events (at least 4 so far, if you count JamieLee spilling a drink on er, which I certainly do), not seeing anyone, not doing much of anything. I'm trying to tell myself I WILL get out in the big world at some point. Flub. Just flub.

There were not one, but two...

I think I am now going to download rare, out-of-print songs from 7-inch singles at Little Hits, the site profiled in Magnet mag that makes it possible to download mp3s like "Jeffrey, I Hear You" by The Girls, and various Shop Assistants, Fun Boy Three, Stereolab, and Television Personalities songs, among others.

Hey, I didn't get your message until late. Tomorrow probably isn't going to work. It's a long story involving a woman...as usual. I'll give you a call if anything changes.

Later...

I remember downloading a few Shop Assistants songs back in the heyday of Napster. I likes 'em, but that's all I've ever heard- just a couple random songs.

Yeah, it's pretty much imperitive that one wash dishes immediately after use, or else they sit. And sit. And sit. My least favorite = washing Rhys' greasy, nasty, meat cooking dishes. It's not that I'm a vegetarian, or dislike meat. But he uses... I don't know. Like, disgusting BBQ sauces and stuff that collagulates and... ew.

Good eye! That is Slash and Duff on the shirt. I looked to see if I have any better pictures of that shirt, where you can see all of it. But it's a G'n'R shirt, with a band picture on the front and it says, "STONED IN L.A."... then on the back it has a couple dates that they played at the Colluseum. I don't know when it's from. Someone gave it to me in highschool because I collected Guns and Roses shirts. wink

2 QUESTIONS to answer

1. Do you have an album that you like although it's really not catchy and there's no real standout song?

I was listening to one last night. I drag it out sometimes, especially now when I'm unemployed and looking to move, and things like "taking up space" and "trading in for cash" come into play.
It's Live in London by Amon...

My Journals lately haven't been very interactive, so I provide you questions to answer:

1. Do you have albums where you like every song but one?

2. I forget the other one I was going to ask.
I had two questions this afternoon, damn it. Let's see. Favorite color... no. If you were a tree... no. I dunno, and I want to watch Rollergirls soon...

Ok-first things first-Rollergirls is just all around quality entertainment-do not miss it again-by far the most compelling thing on television. Second, There are a bunch of albums through the years that have those misfit songs that just seem welded onto it to fill out the running time-I just can't lay a finger on specifics this right now-though I can give an extreme example (no control will kill me on this) I tend to only listen to the songs in which Lisa gerard sings for Dead Can Dance-she gives me the shivers and he tends to make me want to fall into a bathtub of narcotics. Of course-it is no suprise that both you and NC are fans of Lair of the White Worm...one of my all t ime favorites

haha, dude... i dont know what you are trying to say. clerics being of the druids...? or you played a druid? or druids are better than clerics???

Conclusions of my great week of illnesses and compy loss:

1) I had a fever Thurs-Friday. Which means I also am just losing the accompanying aches. My snot-accumulation and stuff is tapering off.

2) The intense pain in the back of my mouth was growing to the point where I was afraid it was some kind of... mutant tooth growing in, or gum-fissure. I went...

That is cool that tomahto saw her band open for Annie. smile I'm too focused on Annie to think much about the opening acts, I guess. And there wasn't really an opening act with her in December unless you count DJ Bliss. I do remember Sweatheart and V.I.P. in Philadelphia though. What a couple of weird-ass bands. WEIRD!!! Like totally weird. It's weirding me out just thinking about them.

Sheesh, I need to relax whatever

Thanks for letting me know about the messed-up link. I fixed it, but probably too late now, and my next entry is a big rant with no room for a correction. There's still time to mention it before the weekend though.

When are you leaving for Portland? I want to be there to see you off!
alyssum:
Moving makes for a the best deadline, sort of. It didn't work so well for me last time, but things are going so smoothly so far this time, it's working out really well for actually sticking to the deadline.

Feelin' kinda sick. Sorry I'm not around when, it seems, a lot of folks are Journaling... and (following the general trend) a Very Important Set went up when I was taking the day offline! Congrats to Kay. Also, sorry I won't be able to see you Baltimore folks. I really don't feel like lots of driving, and 3+ hours of second-hand smoke... and I...

Oddly I have a couple Big Brother VHS tapes in my closet somewhere. I could have dug them out and we could have a old-school pre-MTV skate video party! smile
