Alexandria City Council Candidate John Reardon Makes Blatant Zappa reference??

Seems that way. I saw the following paragraph on his website:

The City recently raised the tax on cigarettes, which will add $1.1 Million to city coffers...I believe we should dedicate funds from cigarette taxes to a program that provides scholarships to all Alexandria high school students who graduate with a B average or better. I call this the Smokin Diplomas program, and it is similar to a program instituted in the states of Georgia and Texas.

Okay, this has GOT to be a reference to the spoken word parts of "Dummy Up" on Roxy And Elsewhere! In that song, Frank narrates that the bass player is tempting the sax player with a joint made of old socks and a high school diploma. After a little while, he then says that they've got a joint made from a college diploma with nothing in it, because "you get nothing with your college diploma," and "that's what you get from 'higher' education."

I have the book Oxford -- Better Word Power from the library. I wanted to learn some new words, check up on grammar, etc. There's a word here...I can't believe I've never heard of it before...CALLYPGIAN -- it means "HAVING BEAUTIFUL BUTTOCKS" according to Oxford. To think I, a rampant ass-man, have gone 33 years not knowing this word...
