It's funny, aside from workin a lot lately (the normal schedule, it's just a lot) I've been up to stuff at the benefit of some and at the loss of others:

loss: sorry to HyenaHell that it'll take me longer to get the CDs done. I realized yesterday I screwed up while burning songs from the Kinks album. I accidentally burnt a song twice, the second time under another song's title, so there's "Do You Remember Walter?" twice and no "Picture Book"... I knew this might happen, too, since I was burning 30-some songs... sooo I gotta get it from teh libarrry again and re-do. :^/
Sorry I did not get back to you, Lex (or Crux) on IM. But to explain, here is what I did do lately:

Friday- work; rent Women in Revolt because I had to see it after seeing a scene in the Warhol doc that was supposed to be from it.
Well.... weirdly, that scene is not in the movie, although it has the same theme/ storyline going... which is following a group of women, lead by Candy Darling, Holly Woodlawn, and Jackie Curtis, in their... sort of forming a feminist society... although I can't say they get much done. Jackie loses her virginity... and they give a construction worker an enema (yes, interesting scene, not graphic but... unusual)... Candy was featured in the mystery-scene in the doc, saying she's going to join PIG (Politically Involved Girls), but she pretty much just spends the movie becoming a movie star. Does she succeed? Well, 1) depends what you mean, 2) you know I don't spoil endings!

Saturday- worked, and the system was down for 3 hours +
I then set about getting Ciao, Manhattan to copy for Kikka, and then copied Women in Revolt in case she needed that. I also re-watched some of Lovers, basically just to see Victoria Abril.
I think that was the night I listened to some of pygmy's husband's music, although it might have been Friday. I was diggin it.

Sunday- Got on IM, and just happened to get a request from Antimony to see a show last night with her and Isadora. not an everyday occurrence, and need I mention they're a couple of my fave folks?? So I did SG work, biked, and copied Ciao, Manhattan for Kikka.
Now.... I only watched the first 20 minutes, and then did some laundry and a smattering more SG, then watched some of the final minutes. I'd seen the movie about ten years ago, when, well, I worked at the place where I rented it.
I'm not sure how to qualify this movie... and the fact that I only watched about 25 minutes of it ain't the half of it. Okay, you know I like: 1) arty movies, 2) weird movies, 3) '70s movies of a heavily drugged overtone, 4) things Warholian, 5) Edie Sedgwick without much clothing on. ...so this movie would seem like a slam dunk, right?
Uhhhhhhh.... man, this movie is D-I-S-jointed, and I mean I'm saying that and The Holy Mountain is my favorite movie. Okay, only Lemonkid's seen that.... okay, well... you all are familiar with Monty Python? Confuse-A Cat? "The Middle of the Film" in The Meaning of Life? Right, that's about how much sense it was making.
Kikka, you might not wanna read the following paragraph o' spoilers; I'm gonna go out on a limb and say everyone else can read it... assuming anyone's actually reading this...

In the first 20 minutes, there's all these voiceovers of this yokel Texan guy driving around Malibu... then he picks up Edie, who is hitchhiking... topless... and she immediately passes out. She spends a good portion of the first 20 minute of the movie passed out, or passing out.... one would figure that, in this case, she must pass in at some point. I suppose so. it's unclear. Some of you might not know who Sedgwick is. She was a pretty lass who went east to New York to be a model and became part of artist Andy Warhol's hangers-on and ended up doing speed and heroin and then going into a psych ward, then went back to California and overdosed. In the movie, Edie is playing "Susan"- Susan is a pretty lass who went east to New York to be a model and became part of artist Andy Warhol's hangers-on and ended up doing speed and heroin and then going into a psych ward then went back to California and overdosed. In a display of, I dunno... bad taste?... at the end of the movie Edie's actual newspaper death notice is shown, but they cover up her real name in the headline with a piece of paper in an attempt to make you believe it's about "Susan." Wow. So am I gonna watch the rest of it? Yeah, but I'm thinking I'll enjoy this DVD I got at the library more- La Dolce Vida. Never seen it.

So last night I met up with Anti and Isa... long story short, the synthrock-porno-French-kiss-mood-lighting-obstructo-encyclical band J+J+J were held up by traffic and being lost, but it meant I got to hang out with those two; my benefit, although Antimony had to work this morning too, like me, so they had to drive to Richmond at 1:30 a.m. ....anyway, J+J+J is funn music, nice folks. Also, do not believe anything Isadora says about me wanting to have sex with elephants. Come on now. It was (what's the word?) anthromorphosized... it was not an actual elephant. It had a nice ass, okay? You know how I like the ass... yes, almost as much as arty '70s drugged-out movies. Anyway, it was so great to see them out this way, and kids- I will drive you through DC if you ever need to come up.

Sounds like a good time wink

Thanks for pointing me towards that song. It's great.

I wonder why the BoaC won't work.. I thought I checked it before I sent it out. Want me to try again?

The treehouse is definitely not up to code, but
A. We aren't telling anyone, and no one will have a reason to find out about it (we won't have electricity or an adress, even & we are digging our own well) It's difficult to see anyways and just looks like a shack. The only person coming around will be the tax asessor eventually, but they don't care about that stuff. Building in the boonies is totally different than the city or suburbs. People do that kind of thing all the time.
B. It is (minus the sleeping loft) less than 100 square feet, so you don't need a permit in our county.

Oh, and I'll say "no thanks" on the Kinks

Whaddja think of the arabic music? And did the pastel thingy survive the mail okay?
