Okay, there seems to be a theme lately on internet shit NOT WORKING, so I dunno if theres monkeybusiness on the web or what, but my journal entry, of a half-hours composition just got eaten. AND IM TRYING TA GET SOME SLEEP HERE!
So, I made some mistakes in band lineup yesterdayso here is The Rolling Blackouts Mark 2, aka Bass Oyster Cult, Godspeed You Bass Emperor, etc:
Cherry lead bass
Nic bass bass
MisterSatanicOne associate bass and vocal duties
braveliltoaster vocals and noise generation
me effects bass, synth-bass, synth noise
plasticfangs drums
souljacker tubthumping
nocategorygirl sheet-metal banging, metal on metal
Hel spiritual advisor
smatt minister of information and pants that dont fit
joss procurer of narcotic cough syrup
My apologies to anyone left outbut you know there were people left out before, and there are at least 8 actual band members of the above 11 people, and thats a freak of a lot. The style would be more aggro, obviously, somewhere between Flipper, Chain Gang, LIGHTNING BOLT, Sleep, and (again) early Pussy Galore, although (again) toaster could lean things in a Fall/Beefheart direction with a lil poetry. Or hey, how about Leonard Cohen? Lets say Leonard is an influence too.
Does anybody play guitar?
Feel free to answer yesterdays journal today, or it might be tomorrow by then. And if you answered it already answer it againagain again, again againtubby tustud
I'm so tired. I'd like to write in everyone's journal but I was out seeing a movie (which I wrote about before my journal got eaten) and it'd take til 3 am to do that. I will get to you all soon. It's weird, I feel like I should talk to more people on here but where will I find the time? Ack. Franchise, what you did in that valiant punch-out was really upstanding. Dunno if I coulda done that. Randy, anytime you wanna email, that's cool. You all make sleep-deprivation seem inviting...but not tonight, sorry...be lovely.
edit ps - I decided to put Sleep instead of the Melivins cuz I really like The Holy Mountain (yeah, the movie and the album) and my attitude towards the Melvins can be found in the posts of the Buzz Osborne interview on SG (although, frankly, www.markprindle.com has a better interview)...

I think "tubthumping" is right up my alley.
I'll also do Mark Smith style rants in the background.
