ps- I am real dumb. You know how I was complaining about my room's poor air circulation, "even when I open the window" blahblah? Well, I looked at my window from outside... and the glass storm-window was behind the screen the entire time. :^/ No wonder the air didn't circulate, and my cat wouldn't stay seated in the sill. It was probably thinking, "Oh, fresh air!... nope, this dumb human's got a smelly old glass barrier up; what a hosehead."
