Hello, everyone. I just took a day off from SuicideGirls, partially cuz my back is starting to hurt in front of the computer, partially cuz I was greakin tired, and partially cuz I wanted to read fiction for a change...
The book in question was Jennifer Government by Max Barry. I've read about 40-50 pages, and I like it so far. It is satire. It is anti-consumerism satire. It is NOT subtle. It is fun.
I see the 2-person concensus was that people wanted to HAVE SEX with the minions. While I am pleased that the 2-person concensus was slanted towards sex instead of violence, I don't think you all have the same view of what minions look like as I do. I think you all are picturing, like, demon-girl drawings by Coop, or Viggo Mortensen or Cate Blanchett or whoever it is you wanna shag from LotR or Buffy...I was talking about hideous, fluid-dripping Frankensteinian, D&D Handbook-type demons and trolls. So, umm, souljacker, Sorcha, if you're game for that boyos, then grease up! joss's peaceful, non-consumerist/fascist solution is an example to us all.
Did I get the job? Um....I don't know. My boss had said he'd tell me tonight; he told me 3 hours ago that he wants to check "references" of the other people. I think this translates into a "NO"...but that's okay, if there's a better candidate. I just didn't want to SUGCK during the interview and it went okay, so I can't complain.
Yes, I mistyped "freakin" above into "greakin" but I like that now. From now on I will regularly use "greakin"; maybe with your help it will become a TREND. "SUGCK" was a purposeful use of an extra letter to attain a certain sound.
Lastly, while I might take time off now and then to see a movie, or band, or read, I want to thank you guys for writing in my journal, whether you do it a lil or a lot. Graci, bellas.
