I'm gonna write another Journal like an actual journal.
Uhh, I had three liquor drinks tonight and it's barely made a dent. I think I'm getting the hang of this thing!
I did a lot of research in the morning on bourbon, whiskey, and all the terms (as painbearer pointed out, I was getting paid to). Looked at a bartender's guide, websites... I even logged in some opinions on rate it all dot com, under the name "Patterson VanZant." My strongest barbs were saved for Grey Goose vodka (was a drink ever so overrated?), and knew I'd be disappointed with the beer ratings (old, European beers that taste like tree bark and earwax getting all the respect).
I spent the last hour or so at work looking at all nineteen pages of the SG secrets thread (well, one of the confessional threads, anyway) and gee, it was pretty twisted. You people are all nuts! Well, boygeorgeismymom is the only Friend of mine who really posted, I guess... repeatedly! I ♥ you, nutty West Virginian!!
I polished off a dinner of appetizers and booze with painbearer. Had a drink called "Death by Chocolate" with Godiva liqueor in it... now, I consider Death by Chocolate to really be a cake name or something, but it was yummy, and continued my search of whiskeys with some Glenfiddich, straight (I've had 'em all straight, folks; this is serious research! No X factors...)(oh, and rateitall dot com calls it "Glenfidich"-- tsktsk). Glenfiddich is great, pain-b is great, and we might go to the Shaun of the Dead tomorrow. Oh, and yeah, I know Glenfiddich is a scotch, not a bourbon.... same with Glenlivet, which I just drank. Bourbon is at least 51% corn, by law. Canadian whiskey has high wheat content. I think scotch is primarily thistles and sheep dung.... no, actually, I forget what. Probably just rye and barley...
I can't tell whether Glenlivet or Glenfiddich is better yet. Wild Turkey Rare Breed is very damn good. I have to try some of these high-rated bourbons which NoControl mentioned, such as Maker's Mark (which is, apparently, "the tits.")
DON'T FORGET to EMAIL ME ADDRESSEYS of A POSTAL NATURE. I promise to stop SGing, and drinking whiskey while blasting Schoolly D, Chuck Berry and Who CDs, and IMing people, and eventually making 50 mix CDs, 12 mix tapes, and a mix video, and uhh yeah... I love Glenlivet. What's today again?
