Very close vote for all the Nixons, except Richie... well, I guess you all felt he had his fun already (and is too dead to enjoy winning). Quite. Nixon did prevail, but Mojo and Dale were breathin' down her neck (lucky bastards).
Had a lot of fun in Polyester City last night. Wow, what another bunch of funn, unpretentious SGers! So far, met only fabuluss folks from the site. We must be the Best Site Evar?
I won a great door prize, too! A Swiss Army knife, made for smoking alcoholics (two cigar implements and two bottle openers... in case you drunkenly blunt one of them on your Chivas Regal, I guess).
Trivial Pursuit Vol. 6 did give me a chance to flaunt my geography skills (yay!)... who has the second-longest coral reef? Somewhere or other, I'd learned that, yep, it's Belize. Also had a George Brett question for the Sports chip (so glad it wasn't one of the dreaded typical TP sports three, of olde horse racing, olde boxers, or obscure Olympians [although one of these eventually came up]). ProdigalSaint won it for our team, though, with his godlike Pepsi Corporation knowledge (and thankfully, no Shakespeare questions... that bard being my TP bane!).

Hoax Hijinks
With all respect to everyone, and I hope nobody feels used or whatever...
there is no Dale Nixon!
I'm sorry, but I've always been inspired by fake/ made-up liner notes, such as those on Ween's The Pod about Scotchgaurd bongs... "Dale Nixon" was a pseudonym used by Greg Ginn when he had to do the bass parts on My War, presumably used because 1) it's short, 2) it's snappy, 3) it looks like it could possibly be a real name, thus fooling people.
Buzz Osborne and Dave Grohl also thought it was funny, obviously, because Dave uses it for his credits on Buzz's solo EP. If you look at the fan comments on Mark Prindle's site under the review of King Buzzo's EP, you see some debate about who did the drums... but even a fucking moron could tell that, as talented as he is, it was not Buzzo doing that heavy-asss drumming that kicks off the EP... it's obviously Grohl.
So, mtlqueen, coldenginelogic, LilMisSMorbid, sorry to disappoint but-- Dale Nixon is not a brave and multifaceted Coloradan scientist/ punker. You still have to go to Bad Religion or The Offspring for your scholarly-Scientist-punkers needs (Dexter n tht guy have degrees... I guess Gregg Turner from the 'Samoans teaches college math, too).
