WHAT's going on with MIX TAPES 'n CDs

So far, a fair amount of people seem game for these things. Now, I want to put out some specific ideas to see how popular they'd be with you all:

these are definitely a go

1. my '70s/ '80s rap/ hiphop cassette is done. I've started dubbing copies, and bought 10 Maxell IIs at Tower last night.

2. a keyboard-laden CD for Tryst... not really just new wave, but any type of keyboard (and sometimes orchestrated) thing I could find
---------------------------------------------

these are probable

3. a new grab-bag mix. It would have a bit of everything: rock, ska, punk, country-rock, oddball stuff, metal... I try to include less-known things.

4. another copy of my first SG mix CD, minus some of the goodies I lost when I lost my old hard-drive (i.e. sound clips of Hel and Cherry saying dirty words); I thought I had a back-up copy, but apparently not. Many people got this CD, I forget exactly who, but I believe WhiskeyFightPit, ebin, E, Cherry, WaTed, coldenginelogic ...you all might have to tell me if you got one or not...
---------------------------------------------

these are likely, but I want to see who cares first before I make a bunch:

5. a bunch of old 45s and stuff, mostly weird post-punk, odd-garage, whatever, (some examples - MX-80, Roky, Cheetah Chrome, the Gibson Brothers, Dangerous Birds, Kleenex) that my friend Chuck sent me on a 60 minute cassette. Depending on who wants one, I can tell how many 60-min cassettes to go buy.

6. a CD of long songs, like 10 minutes... this'd be weird jazz, Acid Mothers Temple, my fave Yo La Tengo jam, Hawkwind.... stuff like that. This would be good if you drive long distances often or smoke dope.
-------------------------------------------

quite simple- your postal addy in my email box= music in your mailbox. No hassles, no requirements, no obligation to buy!

I am loving any mixes in return, but that's up to you.

I know what you mean. But I think such films are actually a good thing; it reminds us that such problems do exist, and the perputrators are real people, who are misled and confused. To me, "Birth Of A Nation" and other such films are powerful tools in showing a time when such horrible thoughts and attitudes were prevelant, and ultimately how laughingly perverse such a line of thinking.really is. But anyways, Ido see your point.
