THANKS to all considering mix tapes n CDs. I know it takes a while to do them... part of my posting was to kick-start my own slowness in getting together another tape for all.

I suppose I usually don't post much when 1) I'm bummed or 2) I'm busy or 3) I've got PC problems. In this case, this week, it's 2 and 3.

I rented DVDs of Battle Royale and Cleo from 5 to 7. Both are pretty good... I guess I have suprisingly little to add to that. The former is a movie many of you have likely already seen. It's a recent Japanese film about a near-future where Japanese teens are forced to battle to the death. I hope I'm not being unkind when I say (if you've seen things like Miike and Kitano flicks) you can guess how this one goes... nah, I'm not saying it's predictable or bad... I'm just saying... anyway, the latter film is by Agnes Varda, who did the beautiful-looking (and slightly unnerving in premise) Le Bonheur. This one is in black n white, so not visually rich on the same manner (but of course I like black n white movies), and is... okay. I'm not finding a philosophical voice this morning, sorry. It concerns a woman who thinks she's dying (and is way-superstitious) waiting to collect some doctor's results (at 7pm, hence the title).

Anyway, as for #3 above, I have the IRC Trojan virus on my PS so won't likely be doing a lot on here 'til that's fixed. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow I'll have a techie/ coworker do so.
