Quine died of an overdose, according to the Thread in Music. Quine had been in bad spirits, but not necessarily a suicide (and I'm definitely not going to say for sure either way; people are still debating Nick Drake's death).
And I see Ray Charles has died. I'm not going to lie here either, I hadn't heard a lot of his stuff, but 1) I know he was an influence on the singing of Richard Manuel/The Band and Steve Winwood/Traffic, 2) "What I Say?" is a really great riff.
