Can it be that I've finally gone to a few movies in the theaters? ...in fact, 3 in the past 10 days?
Went to a free screening of Saved! tonight, as they gave out passes at work. Was a pretty fun movie... maybe could've been funnier, but a good story nonetheless and overall fun.
I'm starting to feel very guilty about my Jena Malone crush ... I am starting to look very, very old yet Jena seems to still look... young. Will this girl ever age or what??
Patrick Fugit didn't annoy the hell outta me like he did in Almost Famous, and Macaulay Culkin is cool... that's right, we've got to establish for once and all, Macaulay Culkin is cool! Deal with it!
Mandy Moore does quite well, too... not a big fan, but hey, credit where it's due. She plays vacuous-annoyance well.
Still mad about Heather Matarazzo! She plays a semi-mental case in that inimitable Matarazzo way ...and Eva Amurri, who I don't believe I've seen before, plays... well, a Suicide Girl, basically... donnae who she is, but she kicks the azz in the flick.
Martin Donovan, also... Morgan knows, the crafty veteran of every damned Hal Hartley flick. Gotta love the-Donovan-who-isn't-a-Scottish-singer.
I give Saved! a B-
