Okay, more LEBOWSKI info...
So, I was at work, looking up books on "the making of" the movie to get through an interlibrary loan.
I saw one on Amazon which had customer comments that it was really about the Coen's work style in general, not Lebowski in particular.
I then saw one that perfectly fit the bill, which was (of course) out of print. It's called (originally enough) The Making of The Big Lebowski by Tricia Cooke and William Robertson. So I looked it up on FirstSearch to see which libraries own it. FirstSearch looks up books in thousands of library systems in the United States (public, government, college, museum, archival, etc etc) and a handful outside of the USA.
So it's only in four libraries...
-a Canadian college, Ryerson Tech
- Cambridge University in England... yeah, that Cambridge
- Oxford University.... yeah, really
- the British Library, which I think is their equivalent of the Library of Congress
I'm really surprised; no American owner, at all...
...also, I can't believe I forgot a Brandt doll in the list yesterday. Crucial doll to the set.

sugarfish:
Love the Big Lebowski. Did I mention that I recently netflixed Dark Star and watched that a few times? Horrible acting -- about porn level -- but still, GOD, what a fun movie!
galvagin:
Man, there even the Necronomicon exists in *five* copies...
