Best albums I have purchased recently Hmm. I have been given some good albums, such as Drive-By Truckerss Decoration Day and The Art Ensemble of Chicagos Les Stances a Sophie. I have bought Sebadoh stuff; Smash Your Head on the Punk Rock seems to be my fave. I need to listen to Bubble & Scrape and The Sebadoh more. I was listening more to The Warlocks today; House of Glass is really nice. I havent listened enough to Yo La Tengos newest; I see theyre comin back. Im having a vision of crazybob and I at the 9:30 Club drinking some smart cocktailsor beer, whichever.
Best movies The best two movies of this year are Andy Goldsworthy: Working with Time and Pirates of the Caribbean. Laurel Canyon was okay.
My favorite 2002 movies are: Signs, Heaven (directed by Tom Tikwer), Secretary, Moonlight Mile, and No Such Thing.
Major goal in life I would like to create good art, but I think Im not good at that I know I want to enjoy the good art of other people, art being defined as music, writing, comedy, TV, film, paintings, conversation, or a good chicken curry. I want to find love, too (well, you need to actively work at it, and passively let it happen; it's a mix). I want to be my best in terms of morals or integrity. Anything else is a whole lot less important.
Effects pedals I dont have any. I used to have a DOD American Metal pedal. That was a loooong time ago.
What I think of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and other stereotype programming Im not interested much in that show. Im less interested in The Man Show, or some Dr. John Gray show or anything where they define people by gender based on ridiculously narrow definitions. I dont hate Joe Rogan or Doug Stanhope necessarily, but clips of the show do turn my stomach like rotten mayonnaise.
Queens of the Stone Age I didnt think much of Songs for the Deaf when I heard it. I think DBT, and maybe Yo La, Neil Young and The Aislers Set, are saving album rock (well, maybe Neil's become a bit erratic at whole albums).
Ann Magnuson and Bongwater I had Breaking No New Ground and Double Bummer when they came out. I stopped paying attention to them after that since everything I liked were the cover tunes. They did a pretty great cover of The Monkeess Just May Be the One. I think Ann Magnuson ended up suing Kramer the Bongwater guy, not the Seinfeld character. They had some dispute, dunno what.
David Spade I dont think he looks like a pedophile, no, I think he looks like a kid himself, if anything. Im still a bit impressed with him after The Incident. Some of you wont know what I mean. His ex-assistant came in his home late one night and tried to taser-gun him and do.god knows what to him. I think the assistant mighta had a shotgun too. Anyway, the guy was twice Spades size and Spade successfully fought him off after being taser-gunned. That strikes me as very impressive. I (honestly) believe the assistants name was Skippy.
Feet size My feet are usually American male size 12, although sometimes size 13s on occasion I guess on the occasion of erratic footwear-production.
Welfare mothers I dunno what kinda lovers they make. I havent gotten around that much.
