I worked blahblah etcetc (WhiskeyFight is too damn right about that; I had a vacation two weeks ago, the longest I've had in as long as I can remember, and I'm already ready for another one.) and I went to the movies again. Whale Rider. It's a nice movie, I certainly didn't feel "ripped off" or whatever...but I have to say I enjoyed Pirates... more. Even compensating for the comedy-versus-drama thing (and, really, I much prefer drama movies anyway; there's so many BAD comedy movies) Pirates... was more fun.
I know crazybob liked it, and many audiences have given it film festival awards. I'm not here to bash it. The angry father, the artist-son, and the lead girl all do good jobs...I felt the script followed a familiar path to other films/shows, is all.
I have officially gone overboard on EBay. It's gotten pretty bad, and I only started a few days ago! I have gone for many years merely buying the occasional out-of-print CD, nothing big, but now I'm bidding on many items of a related nature...which, of course, I don't wanna disclose information about...V knows. And I'm starting to think of more things, like...in-print CDs, "hmm, maybe if I just buy one...or two...or fifty..." If I start getting used to searching for -in-print CDs on EBay, it's gonna get ugly.
