6/24/03 prologue I am in a hurry to do some things this morning...working 1-9 today, meeting someone for lunch, want to mail things, have time to pick up medicine....? Dunno, not if I sit around on here forever. But I want to say: 1) I enjoyed seeing Bob Mould at the park yesterday, lil guitar-based show from him. Saw crazybob; nice to see SG people in a non-computer context. 2) I hope to write to folks later who I didn't write to...which would be for instance those who write to me five times in my journal. Downloading video takes time, you know.

Another thing I don't get in the media, besides people needing to know who's banging Ashton, is -- why all the hate for Martha Stewart? Okay, she did some dirty stock dealing...and maybe she was a jerk to her staff sometimes, when the cameras stopped rolling...fair enough. I'm not putting her in the Cheech Hall of Fame....I'm just saying, why the public's bloodlust to have her incarcerated? Is it cuz it'd be "revenge" against the hoity-toity? Is it cuz they're jealous that she seems a sorta in-control person("that'll show her")? I mean, does anyone SERIOUSLY think she's ruined as many lives as, say, leaders at Enron? or Cheney or Bush?

I had, for many years, an idea in the back of my head, very vague so that I didn't even think about it clearly...an idea for some non-mainstream porn. Okay, well, I know we're on Suicide Girls, yes, the basic idea of non-mainstream porn isn't new, probably predates Bellocq or Man Ray, but the idea was in my head from the movie title Misty Beethoven. That title always conjured a vision in my head of surrealist porn, with foggy Renaissance locations, misty camera effects, and soundtracks full of ethereal and/or striking Beethoven, Liszt, what have you....of course, the reality, I'm sure, is that the film is just a bunch of 1970s people with bad hair n clothes humping on film...but were I able to film a Misty Beethoven of my own...well, it'd be sorta a cross of parts of Aria, the feel of Baron Muchausen, maybe some slight Antonioni or Fellini traces.
You get what I mean. It'd be weird. Duh.

1. Is there a media-famed criminal/rulebreaker you feel kinda sorry for, i.e. maybe they didn't get a bad rap but they got an excessive drubbing in the media?
(this is a good place for Cubs fans to wring their hands about Sammy's illegal bat...or hell, you can feel sorry for OJ, I guess. Dean Ween does; he did a Moistboyz song about him, said in an interview that he thinks OJ's innocent...
)
2. Do you have any long-standing ideas for an innovative porn movie or project of some kind? (Go ahead and argue "porn" semantically...I know, I know it's "art" with "redeeming values", not "porn", )

I love people who put questions in their journals - they realize that I like nothing more than expressing my own opinion
1) Bill Clinton and the Lewinsky affair. I mean, it wasn't right of him to do it ... but seriously, was it THAT big a deal?
