I always find the best parts of the party is after everyone passes out and you make sure everyone is ok before you go bed yourself. Maybe waking up before everyone else and making the first pot of coffee and starting breakfast after check and make sure everyone made it through the night. Yes, of course taking pictures of everyone as they’re passed out, drawn on, and sleeping in odd positions and spots. Those are the moments where you see everyone at their truest. All partied out and not caring anymore. Drooling on themselves, sleeping next to the toilet or in the ripped over chair. The morning madness of not waking anyone else up. Find the other early birds to get the first cigarette of the morning. Looking for where they put their clothes and trying not to wake up the possible coyote love from the night before. My favourites are when you see the people you’ve longed to see get together like a shitty 80’s John Hughes teen sex romp cuddled next to each other and smiling the biggest shit eating grin. Knowing that finally they’re happy with each other. If for nothing more then this night and this moment. Frozen like a time capsule in the minds of whomever catches them. I say this but I forget how much fun the games of flip cup, beer pong, and kings cup. The times you spent talking while you piss in the tub or sink I won’t judge. As your best friend is taking a shit and you’re making him uncomfortable. So here’s to the weekend warriors and everyone that feels your never too young to love fast and leave a pretty corpse.
