When I was leaving Chicago. I was walking back to the train station and this 15 year old girl with Down syndrome stopped me to look at my patches. Her parents apologised I told then not big deal. She said she loved my pink robot patch (R2KT), my Ketchup Bottle man patch (mustard plug mustard man), and told me to be careful with the spikes in my shoulders. I told her if she wants she can get a picture of them and she took one of each. Then she gave me a quick slightly awkward hug because I’m a stranger of course and walked off with her parents. Ok that literally melted my heart. I needed that for real. These are moments that I live for and love when they happen.
