I've seen Bourdain before at a Borders, and read most of Kitchen Confidential. Seen the TV shows a bit, but don't have cable. When I next have cable, I'll be sure to check his shows out more.

I Commented a bit on one of the Preston Threads here. I made a big long comp cassette of a bunch of my fave songs on vinyl from various decades a few years back; put on some old '50s hits, some Al Green, some '70s stuff, and all the great solo Billy Preston songs.

Yes and no. One one hand, I'm not terribly familar with the classification structure of rodents (or mammals in general), so it just adds to my bank of useless knowledge.
On the other hand, I wasn't too familar with Mormonism/Scientology, so at least I have a basic understanding of what they're all about.
The process of learning new things, regardless of what they are all about, has always interested me.
