Seriously, though, look at the last NFL season, and this baseball season. It was always true in NHL, but more than ever, regular season success means jack; you really have to have a hot team at the end of any sports's season to win a championship.

The Leafs aren't playing too badly (although the shootout is a death sentence for them so far), but I'm quite happy to see that the dirty Senators are playing rather poorly so far.
