I was thinking back the other day. Back when the Cotton Club was at Peachtree and 10th. Back when the Point was still around. Back before there was an Atlanta Thrashers, so I didn't need to worry about a lock-out or a strike. Back when the Atlanta Hawks were a basketball team, not a clown troup. Back when I used to go out and drink and not worry about it.
I used to go to the old Cotton Club sometimes because I didn't have any where to go and the band playing had a cool name. It usually worked out alright. I wasn't like a fixture there or anything, I just went there a few times a year.
I only went to the Point two or three times, but it was pretty cool. I tried to go to the Point one night when the Geraldine Fibbers were supposed to be playing. Every time I checked the doors were locked. I never found out what was going on that night. I just got pissed off (really?!) and left after checking for like the third time.
I saw Imperial Teen at the Point and the Cotton Club. I've also seen them at Earthlink Live.
I'm not sure what the point (no pun intended) of this was.
