As far as losing a blog, that sucks. I sympathize, and I'd like to tell you a trade secret: select all + copy. Then submit. Just on the off-chance that something happens, like the internet working against you and losing all the previously typed info.
I do that on EVERYTHING I post on the internet.
EDIT: Coincidentally enough, when I hit submit the first time, my internet connection was lost. Take THAT internet!
