the DaVinci code was pretty good. I got around to reading it in the end because i was convinced eventually someone would ruin the ending for me if i didnt hurry up and get on with it.
I'm "enjoying" black hawk down. I'm not far in, and i cant genuinely say "enjoy" because it's really quite gruesome, and it would feel wrong to enjoy it.. but it is incredibly well written, and given that my seminar presentation is going to be on "is there any honour left in war?", it should be quite relevant

My dad, who is a retired air force colonel and a lifelong republican (and born the same year as you incedentally) is pissed off. He was a big Reagan fan. But now he's telling me he thinks the American People should engineer a revolution and overthrow the current administration, who he says is evil. He's quoting Thomas Jefferson to me now. Things were a lot simpler back then when you could just show up with a musket and revolt. What do we do now? Psionics?
