Tears come too quickly,
My smile eludes me,
Empathy escapes me,
The fear has set in.

The darkness surrounds me,
Like water to wash me,
My anger has risen,
Nowhere to begin.

I hate to lonely,
I need to be wanted,
I long to be needed,
I wish to be touched.

I find that Im falling,
Falling to nowhere,
Nowhere to end here,
Here is not home.

The lights of the city,
The stars of the skyline,
Rooms filled with people,
Yet, Im all alone.

I hate too much quiet,
I need to be desperate,
I long to be empty,
I wish just to sleep.

My heart sings out loud,
The words of the anguish,
Of a woman hurt badly,
My soul I should keep.
