Last night's birthday dinner was good, even though my mom makes better spaghetti than the Italian place we went to. No, the best was seeing Michael open his gifts. He's fairly new to the group, joined up and moved in with my friends in Birdwing (local Louisville rock at its finest or thereabouts, and hello, Daniel and his search engine) and, being the good folks we are, quickly welcomed him into the fold. Well, he nearly cried when he got the boombox we all got for him. It was very touching. One of my friends was so touched he picked up the whole damn dinner bill. Being an adult with a job can be helpful, you know? I'm glad to be mixed in with such wonderful bastards. And I get to do it all again next weekend!

19 days. That's less than 20 days, and I'll be whoopin' it up in NYC. Whoop whoop.
